We are proud to be a preferred dealer of O’Hair shutters. Over our 30+ years in business, we have been diligent to identify the best manufacturers in the industry and are proud to call the O’Hair company a longstanding partner. By offering O’Hair interior shutters, we are able to provide the following advantages in shutter design:
– O’Hair shutters are made in America from American hardwood and feature solid hardwood bookmatched construction – no laminates or plywood cores, and no plastic louver pins or tilt rods.
– O’Hair shutters are custom designed for every individual window and door and are exactingly built for precise architectural integration. In addition to their precise fit and enduring beauty, they are so well engineered and so strong that they are supported by O’Hair’s transferable, life-of-home warranty – the best warranty in the business.
– O’Hair shutters are available in hundreds of configurations, with panel sizes up to 50″ width x 133″ height, in multiple or full-height louver sections, and with louver sizes ranging from a traditional 1.5 inch spacing up to a breathtaking 5 inches; offering an impressive view-to-shutter ratio of up to 97.5%.
In an inside mount shutter, the shutter frame sits flush with or just slightly proud to the existing trim to create a custom, inbuilt appearance. The level of precision needed in fabrication makes this option more costly.
In an outside mount shutter, the shutter frame sits on top of the existing trim and typically has the feel of coming out of the window and into the room. Both pictures illustrate shutters installed in RB3 casing trim.
The 2 1/2″ louver option has the most traditional appearance. Having more louvers creates more obstruction to the view outside.
The 3 1/2″ louver option is by far our most popular configuration. It achieves the perfect balance for most homeowners.
The 4 1/2″ louver option is growing in popularity as it offers the most contemporary look and feel. It also provides unmatched visibility outside.
With single panel shutters, as the name suggests, there is only a single panel per window frame with hinges on only one side. This provides a more contemporary appearance and less obstruction of the view to the outside.
With double panel shutters, there are two panels per window frame and the panels will open from the center of the window frame. This provides a more traditional appearance and the center divider adds more obstruction to the view.
