Exterior Shades

Exterior shades are an excellent option for anyone looking to limit the amount of sunlight allowed into their home, business, or outdoor area. These shades are also often used to save energy, keep insects out, and provide a more pleasurable outdoor experience.

Exterior shades can be motorized or manual and come in different shades and materials to match any home decor style. They come in a variety of opacities to ensure that you allow just the right amount of sunlight into each area of your home or business.

Manual Shades

Manual shades are operated with a retractable mechanism in the top of the shade itself. These are shades for smaller areas where it is possible to physically pull them down from the bottom portion of the shade, a pull, or a cord.

Motorized Shades

Motorized shades are operated with a remote control or an app on your phoneand are a great option for large windows that may be hard to operate physically or areas where you may have several shades.

Opacity Options

Sheer

Sheer fabric options allow for the most sunlight to filter through. They reduce glare in areas where privacy is not a concern.

Semi-Sheer

Semi-sheer fabrics allow less sunlight than sheer fabrics and hide the interior a bit more, but are still not intended for privacy.

Semi-Opaque

Semi-opaque fabrics allow sunlight to filter in, but will provide significantly more privacy. With semi-opaque fabrics, only shadows would be visible from the outside.

Opaque

Opaque fabrics will block most light from entering an area and ensure privacy. In order to brighten the room, the shade will have to be fully or partially open.

Blackout

Blackout shades are intended to block almost all light from the outside while providing complete privacy.
